Using Campus Style Watch and Campus Cribs as our inspiration, Uscoop seeks out brands and retailers that support College fads and deserve national attention. Our team of Campus Reps, New York, and Washington, DC- based scouts personally tests every product we feature, so we can then use negotiating power to offer you an exclusive deal. But don’t let the discounts throw you off. Every vendor we feature on Uscoop is topnotch and guaranteed to keep you current with your peers, if not ahead of the game. So while you might not recognize the websites off the bat, rest assured their products and services are the best around and carefully selected by our critical team.
Why do these vendors agree to offer such steep discounts?
They want new customers like YOU. Most web merchants and small local businesses have limited resources and thus don’t have the budget to advertise. They focus on producing awesome products and services, which is why we choose to expose them to the College market. We don’t ask for any up-front payment from the merchants, just that they offer you their product at a low price in order to get visibility. These brands probably won’t make any profit today, but they are proud of their product and want Uscoop’s youthful customers to engage with their business. The hope is that you will return to the merchant’s site or location someday and tell your friends.
Do I need to be a member?
In order to create a profile and access deals on Uscoop.com, you need to have a .EDU email address. The point of Uscoop is to serve the College constituency and no one else.
What is a Voucher?
A voucher is a code, similar to a gift certificate. Vouchers allow you to choose anything you want at the featured site or at the local business, rather than limiting you to a single product. During the voucher feature and before you buy the voucher; you should peruse the merchant’s website to see if you like any of the products or read about the local business. Then return to theUscoop.com and click “Buy”. At the end of the feature you will receive a unique voucher code in an email. Use that code like a coupon to deduct the voucher value from anything you want to buy at the featured business’ site. If you are redeeming it at a physical location, print your voucher and bring it in to business with you. Your voucher code will be sent to you by about 4PM (EST) on the day after your feature ends. Please note that it can take as long as 24 hours from that point until the codes are active in the vendor’s system.
Is the sale really only 24 to 48 hours?
The limited time frame creates a sense of urgency and excitement around the incredible discount. There are tons of awesome businesses waiting to be featured each day, but they can only offer amazing deals for so long.
What kind of products and services do you feature?
We feature everything from dorm décor and clothing brands, to accessories, food, and services on the web. In the case that Uscoop covers your college town, we also offer deals on local restaurants, retailers, services, and activities.
What is your return policy?
In the rare case that you don’t like what you get through Uscoop.com mail it back to the vendor (in salable condition) within 30 days and you’ll receive Uscoop credit to use toward any future feature on theUscoop.com. If the product is defective, the vendor will replace it, or refund your credit card. Sales of vouchers are final, unless product is defective.
How long will it take my order to get to me?
Vouchers are sent electronically, and will arrive via email within hours of a feature’s close. As for physical product, most vendors agree to ship within 48 hours of a feature’s close. In the case of an extremely successful sale, there will likely be an increase in a merchant’s order flow. We appreciate your patience as the small, entrepreneurial businesses we feature work hard to get your merchandise out as fast as they can. If you have a specific question about when it shipped or will ship, you can contact the merchant directly.

- Can Vouchers be combined? Yes vouchers can be combined in most cases. This usually requires asking the merchant to create one voucher code that represents the value of the total number of vouchers you bought.
- How do I use the voucher on the merchant’s website? As you are checking out, you should see a field that says “Gift Code” or “Promo Code”. Just type in your promo code and the amount your voucher is worth (ie $40 but you only paid $20 for) should be deducted from the total. If you can’t find it just ask the merchant directly.
